The stories and poems in this collection have been written by me over the last ten years. Whenever I walk to book coverschool, or have trouble sleeping at night, snippets of fictional lives tumble through my mind. The words and worlds recorded here in this small pdf volume are only the stories I have taken the time to write, re-write and finally decided to live with. I never know when a story will force itself onto me. I have a large collection of fragments that, at least until now, have lead nowhere.

Often the inspiration for a tale comes in the form of a first line that keeps running though my head, or in one case, an image of piles and piles of teeth laying by the ocean. A vision like that must be let out of my head. The oldest story was written in 1993 (a poem), the most recent, only a month ago.
