I have been looking at public telephones lately. These lonely, disused remnants from a long ago world. There was a time when we all used them. Carried around a dime in case we needed to use the phone in an emergency. Now most people have cell phones. The cost per call is not something we think about because we're billed at the end of the month. The only people who use public telephones now are those who can't afford cell phones, people who lost their phone, or people who don't want their partners to know about their lovers. What would Superman do now?
